As part of the XXV Congress of the Russian Society of Urologists, held in Kazan from September 11-14, 2025, the Eurasian Association of Urologists (EAAU) held a series of key scientific sessions, which became one of the central discussion platforms of the event.
The EAAU program was dedicated to addressing the most pressing issues in modern urology, emphasizing the importance of international cooperation in improving the quality of medical care.
1. EAAU Meeting "Eurasian Experience in Urological Practice: Solutions, Challenges, Innovations. Part 1" - The session discussed comprehensive strategies for diagnosing and treating key urological diseases, shared by urologists from the Russian Federation, Kyrgyzstan, and Kazakhstan. Particular attention was paid to new technologies, including the implementation of artificial intelligence in various areas of urology, ranging from prostate cancer to telemedicine.
2. EAAU Meeting "Eurasian Experience in Urological Practice: Solutions, Challenges, Innovations. Part 2" - a continuation of the productive dialogue, with special attention paid to modern surgical technologies and solving complex clinical problems related to urolithiasis and bladder cancer.
3. The EAAU School "Systemic Treatment in Oncourology. Drug Treatment of Prostate and Kidney Cancer" is a key educational event dedicated to breakthrough pharmacotherapy methods in urological oncology. Participants gained structured knowledge on the use of modern drugs, which is critical for increasing survival and improving patients' quality of life. Presented papers on hormone-sensitive metastatic prostate cancer and metastatic kidney cancer, as well as a clinical case of a rare form of urothelial cancer with squamous cell differentiation, sparked lively discussions among the participants.
4. The EAAU School "Systemic Treatment in Oncourology. Drug Treatment of Urothelial Cancer and Kidney Cancer" focuses on current treatment regimens for aggressive urological oncology diseases. Discussion of new combinations and a personalized approach highlighted the school's high practical value for oncologists and urologists. The possibilities of BCG therapy for non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer, radiation therapy, and immunotherapy for kidney cancer were discussed.
The EAAU events confirmed their role as a key platform for professional dialogue between urologists from the Eurasian region, education, and consensus-building.
The exchange of best practices between specialists from Eurasian countries makes an invaluable contribution to the development of urology and oncourology, which ultimately aims to improve patient health.
